Founder & President
After completing his tour of duty, Ed brought the military values he had learned to the private sector. In 1991, he earned the “Rookie of the year” award during his first year with one of the nation’s largest insurance companies, and later became a managing director, receiving numerous awards and recognition for profitability and growth.
Throughout his career, he has authored numerous articles on wealth management, estate and business planning. He has been a guest lecturer for the New Hampshire Bar Continuing Education, presenting on the complexities of estate planning in financial services. For eight years Ed hosted the widely recognized “Talking Money” radio show which aired across the north New England seacoast.
When he’s not helping clients prepare for their financial future, Ed likes to travel, golf, read, and most importantly spend time with his wife, Nancy, and his children.

He works closely with his clients to ensure that accounts are properly established and that beneficiary designations, trustee, and executor assignments are in place. Jay H. Levy, CFP, CRPC

Jay H. Levy, awarded 1st place by the voting public for financial planning for both 2017 & 2018 for Seacoast Media Group’s “Best of The Seacoast” is Senior Vice President in the Portsmouth, NH office, with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He is dedicated to providing individuals, families, and business owners with an individually tailored approach to investing and wealth management.
Jay draws upon his vast experience and Measured Wealth’s resources to develop personalized, strategic solutions to help address today’s complex needs. Together with specialists in different areas of expertise, he offers clients a comprehensive range of services.
Jay is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Retired Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. Jay has served on numerous Boards including the Portsmouth Rotary, the Wentworth Douglass Hospital Stewardship and Plan Advisory Council. He currently serves on the Wentworth Douglass Hospital Board of Trustees in his capacity as Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. He also served as Chairman of the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2008. Jay has been extremely active in political campaigns on the local, state and national levels.
Jay currently resides in Stratham with his wife, Kelly and has two sons Grant and Adam who (to everyone’s delight) are both self-reliant working in the chemical engineering and IT industries in Boston, MA, respectively.

Kelly Foss-Root, CRPC, CRPS, CMFC

Kelly is an experienced professional who began her career as a financial adviser with Citigroup in 1999. She then moved to an Independent Advisory firm, Salem Advisory Group, in June of 2010 before joining Measured Wealth Private Client Group in November 2013.
Kelly has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Plymouth State University of New Hampshire, where she also participated as a collegiate athlete in field hockey and basketball. She then received her MS degree in Financial Planning from the College of Financial Planning based out of Denver, CO. She holds her FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 and 7 and is licensed in Health and Life Insurance in the State of Maine. Kelly has also earned the professional designations of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®). She believes trust to be the most important part of the client-advisor relationship, and is recognized for her commitment to serving her clients.
Kelly was born and raised in Southern Maine and currently resides in Saco, ME with her husband Chris and twin daughters, Avery and Savannah. Kelly enjoys time with her family, kayaking, golfing and traveling.

Eric is an experienced Advisor who specializes in financial and estate planning. He holds his FINRA Series 66 and 7 and is licensed in Life Insurance in the State of New Hampshire. He believes that spending time getting to know clients and understanding their story is important to helping them achieve all their financial goals.
Eric began his professional career in the United States Army, serving for 6 years on active duty as a helicopter crew member. Amongst his awards are the Army Commendation Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He enjoys giving back to the Veteran community by volunteering with several Veterans charities. He also serves as a board member for several local Veterans nonprofit organizations helping veterans and their families.

Kenneth Groppi
Director of Operations
Ken previously held a senior role with Boston Private Wealth as the Managing Director of Wealth & Trust Operations. He was responsible for overseeing the firm’s day to day back office operations team as well as having a leadership role with the firm's management team.
Ken lives in Wakefield, MA with his wife, three stepdaughters and two Siberian huskies.

Rebekah joins Measured Wealth with over 10 years of client-based experience that has led
her to build strong organizational and communication skills. She joins the firm as a Client Service Associate to assist with client service and operational needs where she will utilize her financial service experience to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Prior to joining Measured Wealth, Rebekah recently relocated to Maine in 2022. She grew up in Southern Massachusetts and enjoys working on art projects, hiking, and exploring new places.
